Educator, Immigrant, Mom, and Life long Democrat (which means I've had my heart broken more than a few times). Right now in the process of dusting myself off and getting ready for the battles to come.
What is different for me this time: having spent my entire adult life voting against my own self interests to benefit others, I am done feeling outrage for those same people who voted for him. Their stupidity and ignorance about prices has imperiled this nation.
save some smoke today for the reporters, pundits, and influencers who failed to convey the threat of Trumpism to their audiences and the voters who couldn't be bothered to make an informed choice last November

So, after a lengthy period of grieving for what might have been, today, I’m ready to begin dealing with this awful reality.

In the depths of 2016 despair, I came across Brooklyn Dad Defiant, one of the first people that made me feel like I was not alone. I began discovering and following (never posting myself) many others. I'm so glad that community of friends has migrated here. What a comfort all of you have been ♥️
