I am an Assistant Professor of Cancer Biology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine (www.fanninglab.com). The Fanning lab studies how allostery governs estrogen receptor-dependent transcriptional programs in breast cancer.
Just wrapped up my medical school teaching for the year. I happened to have an exceptionally awesome group of M1s. I’m excited to see where they’ll go from here!

Come see @govindah.bsky.social present his awesome work showing how induction of SUMO1 expression contributes to the anti-cancer efficacy of fulvestrant in breast cancer! Despite decades of study, we still know remarkably little on how endocrine therapies work!
