I’m messing around with the nexus of teaching mastery learning, AI, and entrepreneurship. Don’t know what I’m figuring out, but happy to share the journey!

Nobody has the formula for successful AI integration. But I can guarantee a bad formula is AI-proof and sticking our head in the sand.

Most importantly:

I’m 100% transparent with students about what I’m doing, why I’m doing it and what I hope it accomplishes.

Im asking students to be transparent about how they use AI, their concerns, their questions, their curiosities.

I’m asking students for feedback every step of the way.

Here are some basic things I’m playing around with:

Debates with AI.

CustomGPTs for every skill.

Grading the chats (thanks Mike Kentz!)

An infinity loop of student-AI-peer-AI-student co-creation and revision.

We can’t move to AI-proof assignments.
That does our students a disservice.
We need to prepare them for work.

Students benefit most if we find “a new style of schoolwork better suited to the world of artificial intelligence."

This is really hard work.
It requires we rethink how we “teach.”

Ooooh, I like that. How would you do that?

I’m learning 🤣

I do find that when my students get first drafts of ideas using AI, their progress and process is quicker to get to a “better” solution. I know contexts are different (I see the problem with first drafts of writinf)
