Manchin couldn't win in PA. Only way he win reelection is by getting republican voting for him - but he has lots of positions republicans hate. Its how Sinema found out she had no path to reelection.

Manchin could only win a primary because it was West Virginia. Sinema couldn't in Arizona. Fetterman wont be able to in Pennsylvania.

By the time we have a democratic majority who is serious about climate - Fetterman wont be in office but senators from meat producing (including feed producing) states will be much worse about this.

I think that speaks to the caucus after Reid ... and that senate democrats got tired of winning if it meant that they could feel individually powerful
