While I understand not wanting a lot of guns in a low fantasy setting, I actually think "Wild west" weapons fit perfectly into DND and Pathfinder.

Let the Level 8 Party take a Bandit hunting job, and then let Bandits cower in fear in front of them. "OH BY ILLMATER! Aren't you the guys who killed the Black Dragon in the Area?! Oh, please, Noble Knight, show me no harm!"

People think that Strahd von Zarovich's statblock is way to weak, i challenge this claim!

He can dish out good damage, is able pick the person who he wants to attack without consequences, while having god Survivabilty.

Paladins aren't warriors of the gods! They have an oath, and their commitment to it gives them supernatural abilities. They will also only lose them if they think they broke their oath.

What do you guys think about a Paladin who gaslights himself into doing crimes against humanity?

1: Bandits can guess how strong adventurers are. How about you make an encounter where the bandits know they will get defeated, so they pretend to be ordinary adventurers or hunters?

Just a quick reminder that you can almost always use DND pre-made adventures in your homegrown world! Just rename everything and tweak it a little if needed!

When Dming curse of strahd please remember to prepare the castle over the whole campaign You do not want to prepare it 3 days before deadline.

I did that, and now I feel like a lich.

Depending on your group, you can just use a stronger enemy and give the players information and prep time.

What's your dnd adventure where you completely curb stomped the enemy boss?

1: Wild Monsters who are normaly alone definetly wouldnt fight to the death in normal circumstances. So how about after fighting for a while just let one of the players roll intimidation to chase them away?
