So many things have changed over the years, it's quite an achievement to be a going concern all these years later.

Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy My original is from ‘78, but I'm currently listening to the new MFSL 45-RPM version. DSD step or not, I think this version sounds awfully good (as does the original). The first two Zevon albums are great, with excellent songwriting (OK, “Nightime in the Switching Yard" is filler), playing, and production. The 45RPM version means more flipping, which changes the flow (but the pause after Veracruz remains, as it should). But it sounds great. #vinyl #nowPlaying

Attached: 1 image Ryo Fukui Trio at the Slowboat 2004 On the 20th anniversary of Fukui's Slowboat club in Sapporo, a fan and recording enthusiast captured this set featuring Fukui (piano), Benisuke Saki (bass), and Yoshihito Eto (drums). The fan may have been an amateur/hobby recordist, but he did a great job capturing this joyful, celebratory performance...and it's been unearthed for us to enjoy on this, the 30th anniversary. I'm looking forward to visting later this year. #Nowplaying #vinyl #jazz #RyoFukui

Attached: 1 image The Great Jazz Trio - At the Village Vanguard Since I posted that YouTube video from The Tracking Angle comparing a $350K turntable to a $50K turntable (with a $100K arm, $90K phono preamp and $12K cartridge), I decided to grab a copy of that album from Japan and compare those recordings to my own turntables. Impressions to follow. The actual LP is great - a terrific set by an acclaimed trio, beautifully recorded. #nowplaying #jazz #vinyl
