Listening to the Talbot v. Trump Injunction Hearing - the transgender military ban case. Judge Reyes is not here for the DOJ showing up completely unprepared to answer any questions. It’s an appalling failure on DOJs part - 10,000 peoples jobs are on the line.

5th ER trip this month 🙄🙄🙄 All I want for Christmas 🎄 is decent healthcare. >$200,000 spent so far and I honestly am unbothered. Repeated stent / kidney infection that they keep catch & releasing me for despite debilitating pain and pure blood in my urine, but you know America! 🇺🇸!

In both August and September I worked extremely hard to roll back Joe Manchin supported hateful anti-trans riders in the NDAA - I was honored to work with nearly a dozen orgs, almost 20 families, and hundreds of service members to share our stories with Senate and House Staff. It was powerful!

These photos are from 1999 - when I joined more than 500 youth in foster care from around the country to lobby to pass the John H. Caffee Youth in Care Act. Rep. Nancy Mace insulted our work last night by falsely accusing and having arrested a former foster youth. It’s disgusting and appalling.

I’ve been in agony the last 4 days with a 1.3 cm Kidney Stone that is coming out tomorrow morning. Feeling grateful to have health insurance that isn’t United Healthcare. Kidney stones are the worst.

Importantly: the NDAA from the House contains a trans youth ban - this after 5 months of many of us lobbying against a full GAC ban. This has a real
danger of passing and being the first national youth care ban.

It was so beautiful and filled my heart so full!! We need these gatherings to remind ourselves and the world that we aren’t going anywhere! They can try to legislate us out of existence but we can’t and won’t be shoved back into the closet.

I was there - it was powerful and sad 😔. To hear the same debunked BS from Fox News on repeat from the Justices - and a clear tilt from the conservatives to throw us to the wolves. I’m hoping I’m wrong about Coney-Barrett or Roberts - but I doubt they’ll side with us after the hearing.

Today’s hearing was a lot. I arrived at 5:00 and had to wait hours in the cold. Paid “line sitters” who make $25 / hr slept out overnight to hand their spot to rich people to get inside. Our system is so fucked top to bottom and it’s gross 🤮.

If we examine the legal definition of Defamation - it is shockingly clear that @nytimes.com is printing defamatory statements. 1. The quotes repeatedly assert the player “is a man” (she is not). 2. It’s in The NY Times. 3. The coach knows her legal gender. 4. The intent is to deprive her of rights.

Are you open to having a civil discussion with actual people impacted by comments like this? I often wonder 💭… have you talked to the people who are most impacted by these policies and asked their opinions? How do you formulate yours? Is it purely speculative or merely “what I think will win”.

This is a truly concerning visual. I have non-24 / delayed sleep disorder but even I get ~7 hours of sleep a night. Truly wondering how Elon continues to function in any real way. The risks of dementia are so elevated in this type of lack of sleep.
