I really don't understand the reasoning behind retaliatory tariffs. Yes, US tariffs on the EU make it harder for the EU to export to the US but it's US companies/consumers that pay the cost. Retaliating just raises prices for EU consumers. If the US wants to pay 30% more, I say let them 😂

All states but Vermont have some sort of a balanced budget requirement, so blue states are screwed due to that.

TBH whenever people complain that Disabled folks are too mean/grumpy/impatient in my head I'm like "we know that around half of our elected officials would rather cut all the services that support our lives and that people around us vote for those assholes every time".

Agreed. These programs being cut to fund tax cuts for the rich (which coincidentally #Trump will greatly benefit from) is absolutely scandalous!! Unfortunately, disabled ppl in the UK are facing similar cuts & uncertainty atm too. When did taking from the poor to give to the rich become acceptable?
It is breaking my heart that disabled people and their families telling how scared they are about Medicaid cuts...seems to mean nothing to those in power.
