Yes, and good on her. But as the article notes, a rallying of the progressive base is not what is going to have the best chance against a Republican in a state-wide race.

There was always the assumption Article V meant U.S. forces. Hell, we spent mid-80s threatening USSR nuke deployments with bolstering our own *nuclear* capability based in Germany and Italy. Euros should certainly get the message we aren't an ally. To them, at least. Manafort sure earned his bonus.

Yup. Had Harris won, there’d have been a chance of a slow return to normalcy. Now? Pax American is over. But as a good friend still in the FS said, “I’m glad they put it out. Makes it very clear who we are now, no illusions anymore.” He said the with sadness that most of the FS feels.

I'm sure one of your colleagues who also works at Scowcroft will laud it as "Reaganesque," but to me it screams capitulation to "Soviet" Russia's patient long game, and it's up for grabs now as to who won (is winning?) the Cold War.
