One of the things that gives me a lot of hope has been watching my dad turn progressively more liberal. In the past 2-3 years, he's gone from a Trump supporter to a man who's genuinely pretty progressive! If he can change at 67, I really do think that we can change other peoples minds too.

Call me a luddite if you wish, but one of the big reasons I still buy CDs of any artist that catches my interest is because of the album art. I know Spotify is convenient, but I strongly feel there's some genuinely really cool work put into CDs that's completely missing from the streamed experience

I know I shouldn't complain much, given I was able to buy a house period, but it's still darkly funny to me that I bought my house on October 31st of 2023 . . . possibly the worst possible time I could have done that:
