I got Medicare supplemental insurance sticker shock today. My 2025 Aetna plan is being cancelled and the similar 2026 is over 4X as expensive. This has nothing directly with ACA premiums, but is some indirect effect. Probably less ACA policies means companies need more revenue off elders backs.

I live in Jersey City Heights which is a low-middle class neighborhood. My local grocery store is hurting from Trump withholding SNAP benefits. This is a privately owned store & not a major corporation chain that could be offering major 50+% discounts to SNAP recipients.

Trump was played by Putin again! By backpedaling on giving Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine the Hungary summit of Putin & Trump is off. Hard to tell if Trump backpedaled or if he caved to Putin. Now Trump’s addled mind is focused on getting $250M of our taxpayer money for his crimes & S. American wars.

Republicans cannot save face by restoring ACA tax credits because A. destroying ACA is their goal, B. restoring ACA would blow up the deficit unless C. the 2017 tax breaks were repealed. D. All of those three points shows that the One Big Beautiful Bill was a shell game to ripe off common folk.
