This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office.
2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor.
3) Donors make a huge profit.
4) Repeat.

For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.

Americans’ electricity bills are predicted to rise by as much as 18% over the next decade, thanks to cuts to clean energy production in Trump’s big, ugly bill.

Red states are likely to see the biggest increases.

Trump put his Big Oil donors over his own voters.

The House is expected to take up industry backed crypto "regulation" this week that does nothing to address Trump's own crypto investments.

This leaves the door open to quid pro quos and grift from the most self-dealing president in American history.

Legalized corruption.

For decades, Republicans in Washington have told us that tax cuts would trickle down to workers.

Instead, wealth and power have accumulated in the hands of the richest 1% at the expense of the rest of us.

Trickle-down economics was never supposed to work.

It was a hoax.

Masked agents in unmarked cars disappearing people from the street and shipping them to a dictator’s prison. Executive branch officials blowing off federal court orders, wrestling members of Congress to the ground and handcuffing them for asking a question. Smells like fascism.

A new analysis finds that projected growth from the GOP budget's tax cuts would only cover 2.7% of their $3.8T cost.

That's nowhere close to the cuts "paying for themselves."

Notice how nobody ever asks, "but how will we pay for it" when it comes to trickle-down economics?

A staggering 40% of the country’s weather forecast offices have significant staffing vacancies.

Some offices can no longer operate overnight – imperiling their ability to warn people of imminent extreme weather.

Make no mistake: DOGE's cuts put American lives at risk.

Trump ran on lowering prices for everyday Americans.

But his misguided tariffs are starting to result in price increases.

The latest example? Walmart.

Now their former firms and clients — including Amazon and pipeline giant Enterprise Products — are lobbying their offices.

It could be any number of things.

-Extend 2017 cuts for top earners
-Increase the "pass-through" loophole for big businesses
-Expand the estate tax exemption for the ultra-rich
-Make a huge tax break for offshore corporate profits permanent

Republicans are deploying every trick in the book to gut Medicaid while claiming they’re not cutting it.

The CBO estimates the latest GOP plan would kick nearly 9 million people off Medicaid.

Why?

To fund tax cuts that will disproportionately benefit corporations and the rich.

But Jayden Daniels is anything but normal.

The stat I still cannot believe from last night is the #Commanders averaged 2.5 yards per carry as a team, their starting RB had 16 yards on 10 carries for a whopping 1.6 ypc, and somehow they held the ball for over 35 minutes.

That should not happen! Crazy efficiency from the passing game.
