Walked #FreedomTrail this morning & thought about what @historyherway.bsky.social @historyfrog.bsky.social shared #NCSS2024 yesterday. Only about 7% of monuments have women depicted/mentioned. As I walked, I saw no monuments with actual women. Only personifications of womenly ideals. Hmm... #EduSky

So. I am proud of my military service. It is one of those things that defines me. But. I struggle with Veterans Day. So many more sacrificed so much more than I did. I'd rather my students focus on them. But this note is everything to me right now. I love what I do. #EduSky #VeteransDay

Our young historians got to experience factory life. It was loud and confusing and frustrating and so much fun. My favorite moment...one of the gluers told another worker, "You're cutting too fast." It made me think of the old I Love Lucy scene in the candy factory. I love my job.
