I'm thinking something like this might look nice on my bumper. (This one was on Etsy.)

Abandoning Oneida for a moment, we have this Eva Zeisal flatware (which Crate & Barrel carries) and it's just lovely, aesthetically and functionally. I particularly like the streamlined forks because I'm the kind of person who stabs herself in the lip with wider-set fork tines.

A definite blast from my childhood right there--only more precarious due to height.

This is my kitty Mal (the orange one), who "hugs" those he loves by pressing his forehead to them. The grey cat is his bestie Sid. Mal also presses his forehead to us - - arms, hips, whichever body part he can reach. Mal is sending everyone here on Bluesky a forehead hug tonight.

I'm west of you in Indiana and my friend is in a Detroit outer suburb, and we're all seeing them in the last 20-30 minutes! No greens here, though.

We saw the Northern Lights in our back yard in west-central Indiana just a few minutes ago! I haven't done anything to the photos yet--but this is very close to what we could see with the naked eye.

I was a secondary teacher for 5 years, 20 years ago (now a college prof)--but apparently something about me projects, "I am your friendly high school teacher and I am here to help you." IOW, I wear a virtual teacher sweater everywhere I go.

We've been watching the systematic dismantling of public education via privatization and testing for over two decades now, and the involvement of private equity look to me like the overt attack is picking up speed. This is from Diane Ravitch's blog in 2015: dianeravitch.net/2015/10/24/t...

We specialize in cat clusters here. (Also, your dark grey kitty in the back left corner of your bed and my dark grey are twinsies.)

I have an app I like--and this makes the state of my hips today quite clear.

😂 And speaking of writing, that repeated use of the same words is SO MUCH of what I catch while revising and editing. Also, just saw this today. I think it partly captures the bog-slogging we both experience.

Absolutely this. Old enough to have been here before, too--and to have hoped and believed we might learn better.

It's the Skinner's banana shrub, which used to be labeled as Michelia skinneriana--but is now classified as a Magnolia. Here's a photo of one (not mine, which hasn't bloomed yet).

I have lots of happy plants growing new leaves, two orchids flowering, and two more sending up bloom spikes in my sunroom this week!

Had to share the one lovely little rosehip on my Wichurana rose! (It's a species rose with single white flowers, and it works well as ground cover--which we'll likely go for here. Supposedly it can be trained up a tree, too.)
