fair enough. I have seen elders sort into two groups, one kept up with new technology and continues to be capable of navigating the world, the other stopped learning new tech and became ever more dependent on others.

I think of it more like "if I don't start engaging with it now I risk becoming one of those elders who can't manage the computer or work the remote control."

And groceries. I'm not particularly price sensitive to the shifts in my weekly shop. But qfc near me had a regular celery for 12$ recentlu when I rang it up. I thought it was a mistake. Ppl notice those things disproportionately.

My view is that for 60ish years women have gained society-affirmed access to previously male-only (male coded) roles, opportunities and traits. But society considers men lesser for having female-coded roles, or traits. Care-roles primarily. Female doctor vs male nurse for example. Stay at home dad.

The lawsuits over this will have to be absolutely endless. Impoundments refusing to spend appropriated monies are one problem, straight up spending unappropriated monies without even pretending there’s a state of emergency or a reserve fund or something that justifies doing so…phew.

The money has to come from somewhere and it hasn't been appropriated, so yes it'll have to be a reprogramming of some sort, just a question of the degree of illegal it is
