Farm kid, long time teacher, exec dir of inquiryschools.org - often found frolicking in nature with the pup, Brin
No one else is available! That means it's time for the D- farmer... Roughly 40 years ago I put a tractor in the ditch (I was 10). I've never really lived that down. Always amuses me when my Dad lets me be helpful. It's a sign that he's asked everyone else first. #Dminusfarmer

Thrilled to be in Salt Lake City with @nmangum.bsky.social @dhudgins.bsky.social and @leadingedgelearn.bsky.social for the UEN Leading Schools Summit. In addition to working with top notch school leaders - I get to frolic in the mtns a bit. #edusky

Good to know Wisco can still find something to beef about that is light hearted. Many states run from their stereotypes - I feel like WI leans all the way in.

Two different Kentucky groups next week - so a different topic also in prep mode. This info also got a glow up. One sheeter here - bit.ly/4hLatdU and original post here www.inquiryschools.org/news/2017/11.... Old posts, evergreen ideas. #edusky

Doing a little prep for next work - revitalized this info I wrote about awhile back. If you're looking for ways to punch up lessons, activities or units - this is a list of provocations to ponder. Link to the resource - bit.ly/4aT5DsU and original post www.inquiryschools.org/news/2017/12... #edusky

I have so many pictures of clouds, I might have a problem. A selection. Big fan of the sky in general!

If there is this much sun in WI, in January it usually means it's cold and/or dry. Feels like 17°, but that sunshine is pretty great! At this particular moment, I was waiting for my pup to bury the bone she found in the woods. Winter bone finding is her superpower. #wisconsin

Happy Solstice from our walk on the beach (and on the frozen lake) ... At 15° in snowy Wisconsin!

So I'm looking through all the front page articles to build up a set of questions to include in the activity. And there it was... a tiny article outlining the murder of an Osage woman that was wealthy with oil royalties. (Full front page www.loc.gov/resource/sn8...)

Hiking one of my favorite local trails... At 45° in what we call a sunny day in the WI winter. Ran into several folks hiking it the first time, fun to help them navigate to the 'good spots'. #GoOutside

I kicked the tires for about 5 minutes... I would be incredibly wary of a tool that provides such factually incorrect information. This was Historical Event Perspective Generator, 7th grade, Civil War 1860-1865, Enslaved person.

The world of learning at SLA-Middle School is such a delight to visit. @timothymboyle.bsky.social and his hard-working teachers continue to grow the inquiry driven, project based school so effectively. The work we did to build the new school is one of the things I'm most proud of... #sogood
