The horrific historical irony here is seeing people getting shackled and shipped TO Africa before getting dropped off in a land completely alien to them.

#SCOTUS has gotten it horribly wrong before, and they all have one thing in common.
In #DredScott, #Plessy, and now DHS v. D.V.D, the Court -a body meant to uphold the highest principles of this country- ruled there are those among us who do not rise to the level of being treated as human beings.

In some cases, detainees will be sent to a country of destination in the middle of a violent civil war.

In some cases, detainees will be sent to a country of destination in the middle of a violent civil war.
The sheer inhumanity is staggering. These detainees who committed a CIVIL violation are now staring down the inevitability of the US shipping them to a country in which they have no family, no contacts, no means of communication, no knowledge of culture and language.
