Welcome to my tutorial: “How to Look Like You Know What You’re Doing.”

What’s perplexing is the filmmaker clearly understands the social problem and CHOOSES to have the character do this. Which I suppose is accurate to real life. People don’t change on a dime, they can have an epiphany and still be stuck in their ways. But it’s the “we did it” tone that clashes for me.

I think the midpoint really delivers the premise, where the Battle God anoints our hero & gives him a magic sword & ring. But the coolest thing is that we keep cutting away to snippets of the “gods’” conversations… Are they really gods? Are they tricking our hero into something with this quest?

To clarify, I’m of course familiar with the overall news clip thing. I just never noticed how many of them were assassinations.
