If tax affairs aren't relevant why have they been dragging Angela Rayner through the mud?
September 6, 2025 at 12:11 PM
Labour are, in fact, reinforcing this narrative. They're shameful and complicit.

Why aren't these organisations being proscribed like Palestine Action?

I've contacted my MP (Kanishka Narayan, Vale of Glamorgan) via Trussel's online form. I also asked him a question about it during a Q&A on the local radio station and didn't get much of an answer.

Absolute joke of a system. Years of private under investment for the sake of the shareholders. Surely the point of privatisation is they're responsible for upgrade costs and not consumers, right?

Heat pumps can't be political. Nor should net zero be. Absolutely insane decision.

Rightly so. Regardless of whether or not you disagree with him, protest should never be illegal.

That's awesome. Good luck to him!

I hope so. There's only a limited set of circumstances in which these cars are necessary, but they're a status symbol now. They're a pain, and the people that drive them are invariably the most incompetent drivers because they can't drive a car that size.

Not to mention the lack of private investment in infrastructure, despite the fact that was highlighted as a benefit of privatisation. Now with crumbling infrastructure and sewage in our seas, the shareholders continue getting richer and increasing consumers' bills to fund that investment. Why?
March 28, 2025 at 1:30 PM
More importantly, how quickly are they going to stop dumping sewage into waterways?

Just had notification my direct debit will be £18 more expensive each month moving forward. How much is his salary increasing? What a joke.
March 28, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Why doesn't he make it easier and more economic to use public transport?
March 25, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Infighting didn't take long.

Tough to make an argument in a short amount of characters, but my broader point is that this is just continuing to shift the blame/responsibility for climate change onto ordinary people as opposed to obscenely rich companies and their shareholders.
February 27, 2025 at 7:54 AM
I agree to some extent; private flights should be taxed to oblivion.
But taxing aviation just puts the onus of climate change mitigation onto the consumer. While people should absolutely try to fly less, I don't think making holidays less affordable for consumers is the answer.

If you fancy seeing some sweaty, unfit dads punishing themselves for charity, get down to Eto on Holton Road in #Barry.

Otherwise, the Crowdfunder link is here: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/metalidads...
Metalidads cycle the A470
Our aim is to raise money so our regular meeting place Eto can install a kitchen and toilet/changing facilities for users.

I feel like they tried that with The Eternals and their target audience didn't really like it. It's a shame!
February 12, 2025 at 8:25 PM
I came here to say this, too. There was always too much "student" accommodation for students. Thinly veiled attempts on the part of developers to skimp on costs.
January 30, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Exactly. I saw someone say that by building more runways you basically funnel most of the money out of the country in the name of "business" anyway.
