If the objective is to maximize ecological validity and study the speeds people actually use, you could also ask for self selected "typical" and self selected "fastest"

I think that's probably it! The paper quantifies what happens to IMU measurements (a, w) if we misplace the IMU or if it moves across the duration of a data collection so it's very descriptive and not really hypothesis-driven.
