Such sad news today that England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Rugby World Cup winner Lewis Moody has revealed he’s been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Such a battler on the field, this is the ultimate fight he’ll ever face, tragically one that he can’t win. Our hearts go out to him and his family

A one minute silence at Old Trafford - impeccably observed - for the victims of the heinous attack at the Manchester synagogue.

Well done to one and all.

Whenever life looks like turning to shit, whenever perspective is required in adversity, I look at this beautiful little dog and reflect on how lucky I am to have her unconditional love. She’s such a gentle soul and I’d be lost without her 🩵🐾🐾🩵😍🥰😘

40 years ago this day, City beat Spurs 2-1 at Maine Road, the same day I married my Little Lady Blue.

It was a good match 🩵🩵

Ruben & Bernardo applaud the Wolves support as they blast out ‘Diogo’ in tribute to Jota 🩵 Brilliant emotionally charged atmosphere and full credit to the @Wolves fans. Great performance by City and proud to be among the away supporters who honoured Jota’s memory 🩵🩵🩵🩵🐺💛🖤💔

For those questioning the wisdom of City replacing Ederson with Donnarumma, maybe Pep is adapting his possession style of play to incorporate a more direct approach. Now we have Pep Lijnders on the coaching staff it might be a mix of the best bits of vintage Klopp and Guardiola?

Take a quick squint at these two extracts from a superb book by a guy called Bill Browder - a man who Vladimir Putin would have assassinated in a heartbeat. Putin has Trump in his pocket - he has dirt on the narcissistic chump in the White House - so Donald dances to his tune. POTUS is a disgrace.

Quelle Surprise, a new season is upon us, so how better to start than resurrecting City’s alleged breaches of the Premier League’s FFP rules? Ziegler has been relentless in his insidious drip feed of ‘stories’ implying City’s guilt but he - like so many - will be devastated when City are exonerated.

I feel sorry for the guy - he’s been under a cloud for the past two years - TWO FRICKIN YEARS - while the clowns who purport to be in charge of football investigated the claims. Two years ago City were on the cusp of buying him for £85m. He’d have been a Premier League champion!

Devastating news - Liverpool striker #DiogoJota has died in a car crash in Spain - 11 days after getting married. His younger brother, Andre Silva also died. Sympathy, empathy and deepest condolences to their family and friends - a tragedy - which puts life into perspective & transcends football 🇵🇹💔

PANNNNNNNNNICK!

Manchester City go one up and you have to believe there’s more to come before it’s all over 🩵💪🏻🩵

Potential is one thing - maximising it is quite another - but when you consider City have signed Vitor Reis and Claudio Echeverri - the respective captains of the Brazilian and Argentine U-17 World Cup teams, it bodes well.

Let’s see what opens up in the transfer window plus the return to fitness of key players, and 2025 could yet be a Happy Sky Blue Calendar Year for Manchester City. We at www.readbutneverred.com wish you a peaceful, prosperous and healthy New Year, with City wins aplenty, both on & off the pitch.

Pep Guardiola is a multi millionaire. He’s achieved everything he could in his profession. He’s probably the best there’s ever been and yet he chooses to continue - defying his detractors.
He has nothing to prove. I’m delighted he manages the club I’ve supported all my life.

It’s arise Sir Gareth Southgate and Sir Sadiq Khan but not a knighthood in sight for Kevin Sinfield? If evidence was needed to illustrate the abuse of the ‘Honours’ system this is it! Recognition of wonderful works and deeds is all well and good, but this is absolutely farcical.

We don’t have capital punishment in the UK, but who’s to say a gate might not inadvertently be left open to a prison segregation unit?

I can’t imagine a more compelling case for the restoration of capital punishment in this country than the murderers of little Sarah Sharif.

Justice should come in the form of the death penalty and the prompt execution of that sentence.

So we’ve lost a few games and Pep needs to rebuild the team. He can and he will. We might not win any silverware this season, so be it. We’ve been spoilt rotten since 2017. If anyone has an abundance of credit in the bank it’s Pep. If anyone thinks he done - think again!

Just a City Boy…

Great to get the win and celebrate a win in its own right - if you get the gist? Sad to lose Ake and Akanji. Wonderful to see KDB and Jack make a big difference. We’re still without Stonesy, Kovacic, Phil, Bobb & Rodri in what is a tough and critical month, but we fight on 🩵💪🏻🩵

While City undoubtedly have their woes at the moment, the Amorim effect is plain to see as United rocket 🚀 up to 12th 🙄😂👍🏻🩵

City fans completely missing the point - Son didn’t score against us - RESULT 😳

We do NOT FCK OFF EARLY when we play badly and get our arses kicked. We stay. We clap our team off the field -the same team which has delivered unbelievable success in recent times. Yes @ManCity were abysmal today, but real fans stay, even when they have to drive 125 miles home.

Nice of the BBC to give City a goal - I DIDN’T know - but it’s much appreciated.
