The Wizard of Oz/Wicked really just illustrates how yt women have always been championed as the standard for femininity/beauty, support oppression just as much as yt men, and use victimhood as a shield to avoid accountability. Whole time mid asf and lacking morals.

DJs don't like requests because they're trying to tell a story, a sonic narrative through song selection. They are not a human jukebox.

Five things I believe as a DJ: 1. Play for the people but also for yourself. 2. BPM > key. 3. Dance, make eye contact, have fun. 4. Get paid. 5. Beat matching is important but not more important than curation and context.

It's been drizzling all day here in Middlebury. Ran up to campus to meet with a student about the DJ class, ate ramen at Sushi Maru, and am now waiting to taste wines with the Garden Club for the holiday party. Another day in the life of DJ Serena. 💅
