I'll keep an eye out for it - would love to see more wargames look at UN involvement

The Blue Helmets game looks very interesting - who is the designer?
November 21, 2025 at 10:15 PM
I'm confused - you're not listed as a designer on BGG

@rollplusfun.bsky.social - not only would this be a great way to explore a topic from different angles, it could also highlight the ways specific game design conventions have certain types of analytical emphases or preconceptions baked in

I would *love* to see something like this - sort of an inverse of the COIN multipack, where instead of four games in (broadly) the same system on related but distinct topics, you would have (e.g.) four games with completely different systems on the same topic

Looking forward to DONK

New Living Translation, Internet of Things, and pax games (Porfiriana, Pamir, Renaissance, Transhumanity, etc). Sounds like this game covers a lot of ground...

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I prefer the less angular version. This one contains a few of what look like "false adjacencies" where edges touch but aren't connected by a line segment. Could create confusion during play.

Will there be an upgrade pack available (or another way to get the expansion material)?

It's tough to pick a favorite, but I've been having a blast with Vijayanagara on Rally The Troops recently

I love this game, but I already have all the original content (including the "big" box) - any reason to upgrade?

We All Take From The River is a cool multivictor game from @benhammer.bsky.social - players gets a hidden objective that is a unique combo of 2 of 5 wincons-2 are coop, 1 involves helping other players achieve their goals, 1 is individualist, and 1 is 0-sum. Achieve both your wincons to be a winner

Easily one of the best episodes of Samurai Champloo!
(Yes, I know it's the wrong era...)

I attended Circle DC, so I played a bunch of games, mostly unpub. designs - standouts included Echo from the Dark by @blinks.itch.io, Blood & Treasure by @danbullock.bsky.social, Baltic Empires by Brian Asklev, and Peace 1905 by @writegameread.bsky.social Nathaniel Berkley, SP Shaman & Bill Sullivan
