Dave Meltzer did a book review of Diary of Anne Frank and gave it two stars. He had originally given it five stars, but that was when he mistakenly thought it was called Diary of Frank. 🤼

What?!?!

Dude. Patton Oswalt is a gem of a human being, and wasn't threatening to do it himself.

Man..... Come on guys.

I think what annoys people about Metzer's ratings on women's matches is not a rating on a specific match, as people will have diverse opinions, but that he has a pattern of rating women's matches lower than the general consensus.

The moment I knew Dave Meltzer had lost the plot was when right before AEW debuted and he repeatedly said AEW shouldn't put Orange Cassidy on tv. I felt he was wrong and that Orange would get over huge. Guess what happened. Since then I haven't put any stock in his opinions.

Do not be telling me that that buffoon Meltzer rated the typically bloated mens B&G match higher than the exciting and perfectly-paced women's one.

While both were good matches, I thought the women's match was better, including match layout. 🤼
What the actual fuck Meltzer?!

4.5 stars? The women stole the fucking show. The men got 5?!! This man hates women wrestling so fucking much.

Every woman who competed in AEW Blood and Guts is approximately 1000x tougher than me.

As great as everything was, the match of the night for me was the women's Blood and Guts. #AEWDynamite

Eddie walking around hitting himself in the head with a chair killed me. 😂 This episode is so 70's. #AEWDynamite

There were points in this match where I felt I was watching a heavy blood match from 1982. And I mean that as a compliment. That was a Memphis, Mid-South or NWA match for sure. 🤼
I don't think I've seen a 50 minute match before where I didn't want it to end.

I'm being 100% truthful when I say Women's Blood and Guts was every bit of incredible.

I assume TBS has a standards and practices department. They should all probably take the night off. 🤼

That's a fantastic outfit design. 🤼
The CEO just posted on Twitter!

She is ready for BLOOD AND GUTS!

If he ends up staying in AEW (which is doubtful) I absolutely wouldn't buy a PPV he was featured on. It's time for him to go.

When Mercedes Mone was Sasha Banks in WWE, if anyone said anything remotely negative about her, crazies would come out of the woodwork to attack. Now that's she's in AEW, crazies make a lot of negative comments about her. I believe these are the same crazies.

Nia Jax being at 13, ahead of Stat and other women in AEW and WWE, shows this list is mostly trash. (although I do agree with the top two)

At this point, it's the young, energized candidates, and the democratic socialists I'm keeping my investment in.

Yeah, I'm still here for harm reduction too.

But I cannot sit here and watch people cling to their own power with no risk unto themselves, at the expense of everyone, for nothing.

Thanksgiving! It's that one time of the year that we all Conglomerate with the people we love – and with the people who aren't as easy to love.

Join the AEW family for Thanksgiving Eve #AEWDynamite on TBS and Thanksgiving Day #AEWCollision on TNT, both streaming on HBO Max!

They think wrestling fans would go to a boxing movie judging by the gazillion times I saw an ad for it on HBO during AEW Collision.

If you're wondering who Nixon Newell is, she was known as Tegan Nox in WWE. If you don't know who Tegan Nox is, she was one of the people you never played as the last time you owned a WWE game. 🤼

Willow jobbed for the worst women's wrestler on the planet & now she's a superstar.
In Jan 2022, I saw Willow play jobber for Brandi Rhodes on Dark. She was so instantly good the live crowd (it was in DC) got legitimately pissed off when she had to sell Brandi's ridiculously bad offense. Everyone knew they were seeing a young star. Glad she got her shot & made it.
NEW: Willow Nightingale confirms to me she has signed a new deal with #AEW.

She explained why in our one-on-one, part of which is available now ⬇️

@seanrosssapp.bsky.social first reported she re-signed. #wrestlesky

The Miranda and Nixon situation is like if you went on a job interview, did ok but not great, and the company gave you a second interview to see if you could impress them, then you blow off the second interview. End result is that you would never get another chance with that company. 🤼

Meltzer said ratings have been falling the last two months and that the boom is over. Hmm. What happened two months ago? Oh, yeah, Nielsen changed the way they calculate viewership. But let's not let facts get in the way of faulty analysis. 🤼

A ★★★★ review of Frankenstein (2025)
Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is like watching a movie about a cruel dog owner. The film looks beautiful, as does all of his films, and in a similar fashion the story is more of a fable than a hor...
