Guess who just found out he got a #hearttransplant on Friday… and that today's Monday? Devin woke up after noon today. He’s had some apple juice, eaten a little food, and—staying true to himself—made it clear he needs to be out of the hospital by March 3rd for the NHL trade deadline.

Dr. Tipograf is happy with Devin’s progress and kept saying what a great donor heart he received! We’re taking things slow—planning for extubation tomorrow so he can rest and heal. Both moms finally got some sleep. We're so grateful for Devin’s transplant team. Thanks for the continued love!

Surgery was a success!

We’ve all been back to see him, and though he’s still sedated and hooked up to many drips and tubes, he looks good. Most importantly, his new heart is beating strong! The team is pleased with his progress, and for the first time in a while, we can finally breathe easier.

Just talked with the surgeon. Everything went great. He's closed up and the new heart is beating well. She said it was best case scenario, and we should be able to see him within the hour. Thanks for all the prayers and positive energy; please keep them coming.

After 70 days of amazing care, the 7B staff gave Devin a heartfelt send-off to the ICU—strangers who became family. Devin is in pre-op, and the team is optimistic. Surgery should take ~12 hours. We’ll update as we can. Thank you for the love and prayers—please send them to the donor family too. 💙💚
