Game No 17.

Silly Polly Beast (Xbox One).

A really interesting mix of Survival horror and a twinstick shooter. The action was fun and somewhat reminded me of Hotline Miami. The story was pretty good too. Really enjoyed it. It can get quite challenging at times tho. Definetaly a GOTY contender.

The Dreamcast mouse is hard to come by. But I managed to get my gaming mouse working on my Dreamcast with this solution. Also got one for my keyboard. Now I can play Q3A on the Dreamcast with a mouse and keyboard. 🖱⌨️🤘

Since it's the International Animation Day today it felt fitting to take the kids to the movies. We watched the Pets on a train movie. The kids loved it. I thought it was okay. It was obviously targeted for a younger audience. But it had some funny moments and some fun action.

Yesterday's spontaneous pickup. Never actually played it before. Only played the original game on the Dreamcast. But it felt right to ad it to my DoA collection.

RIP Itagaki-san.

Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate looks and plays great on the Xbox One. And it even has Hitomi and Bayman 👀.

Game No. 16

Kickback: Shoot to move (PC)

A pretty cool top-down roguelite arena shooter. The "You move the ship with the recoil from your cannon" is an interesting conept. Nice music and artstyle. There are only a few levels and not much of a story. But still fun and worth the cheap price.

Game No. 15

Dead reset (Switch)

A pretty good sci-fi horror FMV game. Sure it feels and looks kinda low budget. But it's still a good time. It's like watching a interactive B movie. Script and acting was okay. Unfortunately the game kept on freezing at a certain point.

Game No. 14

Children of clay (PC).

An interesting little stop motion horror game. You play as an archaeologist studying clay artefacts with the help of encyclopedia. The game is very short, but gives one a nice atmospheric experience. Also it's free on Steam. Highly recommended.

Latest addition to my Unreal games collection. It includes the first Unreal game. I have played it for a bit back in the days. But I have actually never owned a copy of it. Got it running on my old laptop. Time to try if it still holds up today.

Game No. 13

Everdeep Aurora (Switch)

A cute little platformer. It plays kinda like a metroidvania but without combat. It mostly consist of exploration and environmental puzzles. I had fun with the game and I like the art style. Had some trouble navigatating at times tho & what item to use where.

Started playing Everdeep Aurora. It's this cute little puzzle platformer adventure where you play as a kitten looking for It's missing mother. It has this nice gameboy color art style. You use a electronic drill to dig tunnels deep below ground. There doesn't seem to be any combat in the game.

Game No. 12

Rogue loops (Xbox One)

A nice little roguelite action game. The two room loop worked well. Decent variety to enemies and the various buffs and debuffs made every run feel somewhat unique. 4 playable characters with their own playstyles. Nice artstyle. Definetaly wort the cheap price.

I remember really enjoying this on the Dreamcast back in the days.

Also Breakdown was pretty cool.

Jag håller med. Blir alltid lika glad när det finns en spelmanual med i indie spelen till Switch.

Started playing Rogue Loops. It's this new roguelite action game where you loop between two areas where your goal is to clear them from enemies. Every time you enter a new area you get to choose from one of two buffs. But for every buff you get the enemies gets one too. Really enjoying it so far.

Had a lot of fun at Glitched yesterday. It's this new LAN party/Gaming event replacing Dreamhack in Elmia Jönköping. Got to play new, retro and arcade games. Watch live Esports tournaments and a cosplay contest. It was pretty much as good as Dreamhack. Only thing missing was indie games.

Just finished my Unreal Tournament streak. Played through the campaigns of all my Unreal Tournament console games + UT 2004. Such great games. Got strong waves of nostslgia.

It's very unfortunate that we won't be getting any new games in the series. UT 99 remains one of my favourite fps games.
June 13, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Good morning! I'm playing some UT 2004 before work 😎.
June 9, 2025 at 10:04 AM
Trying out Exit the Gungeon today. It's a bit different from Enter the Gungeon. While Enter was more a top-down twinstick shooter, Exit is more a platformer twinstick shooter. Having fun so far. Single player only though.
June 8, 2025 at 9:41 AM
Trying out this new indie game I bought the other night. Hear many good things about it. But never actually played them. A fun dungeon crawler with a Roguelike twist. Having a lot of fun playing Enter the Gungeon on co-op with my son. Haven't tried Exit the Gungeon yet.

Game No. 11

Haneda Girl (PC).

Fun and challenging platforming action game with nice pixelgraphics and awesome soundtrack. Kill enemies with a laser sword or gun them down with a mecha. Story was okay. Definetaly a GOTY contender. Now back to playing the bonus levels.

Went to a video game store that was hosting a midnight release for the Switch 2 last night. Had no plans on buying one (too expensive). Just went there for the experience. It was nice talking to other gamers standing in line. Ended up buying a few new indiegames tho. Also got this cool MKW poster
