my job title has been upgraded to another set of hieroglyphs that you need an org chart to understand and I technically got a tiny raise although mostly it was switching my bonus into my salary

Finished The Demon-Haunted World recently, a few decades old but a very prescient book, in the sense that it seems to be depressingly accurate in many points. Definitely worth a read, gave me a lot of fun ideas about how psuedoscience could manifest in fantasy settings too.

I have talked to a council of my figs and fumos and come to an agreement that a Japanese tariff of 24% is "fucking bullshit" and will affect their growth rate noticeably.
Time to put together a Mandarake order before it's announced that all the tariffs were lies with source: my ass again.

I think there's no hand gesture I can make at someone from my car that would make them LESS annoyed if I accidentally annoy them while driving.
