Nooki looks interesting. There are lots of alt and open alternatives to the big closed platforms. Will definately look at it when we have time, but at the moment the focus in on just getting the diVine app sorted. We're part of 'team open' as it were.

It's completely understandable that you don't trust a social media app. Ours is an open source app on an open network. If we violate your trust then you can take your data and network. You, or a community can create a version of the divine app for free based on our code.

Nostr is an open source protocol, that's like saying, hey i found people using the web to train AI data, so if you have your own website you're also supporting AI training.

We do not no or ever plan to provide or sell user data to AI companies for training. We will try and keep AI companies from scraping, but they are hard to stop 100%.

We'll be publishing a discussion we recorded online where we get in to why divine came to be, how it was built, and why we're doing it.

So, it'll take a little longer than we'd hoped, but the wait will make divine better for everybody.

One of our team members Dr Liz Sweigart has published research on youth online safety and did her postdoc research on this cooperative ways we can create safety online:

It's still hard to get right, and we needed to work with folks to get the tools in place.

So we need to wait and get our Trust and Safety system in in to a place where we can handle the volume. I was planning on just doing T&S myself, but that won't work at scale. We had 10k people sign up for the iOS testflight in a few hours.
