Republicans purity test the shit out of their candidates, and it wins. Throwing out the most marginalized, and the most pro democratic voting base is really unwise. The purity test is standing up for human rights and improving life for everyone. Its only a purity test if its not your rights.

Cool,yesterday he hinted that healthcare should be banned for all trans people under 25(the age restrictions won't stop until it's 80). No reason to think he'll undo a single thing for the trans community that's making our lives unlivable, nor has he even remotely hinted at it. He's Starmer or worse

It's like getting upset that some Palestinian Americans wouldn't vote. Their choice was a slower or quicker genocide, but it was still asking people to vote for their own continued genocide. Made sense to me. Why should fascism continue to exist for outgroups only, and why would those groups vote?

I've voted in every election, primary, special election, et al for over 2 decades. This would be the first time I'd sit out if he becomes the candidate. Depending on how far Newsome takes this over the next 3 years, staying home is perhaps the best you can hope for from a community being crushed.

He will change nothing for our community that Trump implements most likely, and he's said nothing that would indicate otherwise (while actively aligning with RW talking points). So if the answer is no rights, or no rights, why should our community engage if no one cares about us,or lowkey hates us?

It's possible in the future they may try to cross reference something like selective service registration, but as of now, there's been no reports of anything like this happening. From my observations, I'd try to apply sooner rather than later in case the database they're building makes this harder.

It being newer is fine, official copies of birth certificates are standard. My BC has 'amended' in big letters and small print on the back showing the changes. If nothing like that exists, they should be in the clear for now.

If the birth certificate notes it was 'amended' they currently ask for proof of agab. If it's amended without notation, the friend should be able to fly under the radar with the correct gender marker. If they're worried about getting a passport at all, worst case is it's issued under their agab.

So appreciate their work. Feel like this fight/decision was inevitably coming (I've seen criticism of this case being brought by some), and I'm grateful for the work they put in, even if it's the outcome we expected from this scotus.

He declared it National Child Abuse Prevention Month today, with the abuse being "extremist gender ideology." Seems like we'll have a full month devoted to us 😩

Seeing them blush (in the more innocuous run ins) always gave me a laugh, at least. Them realizing what they're inspecting embarrasses the hell out of most that I've encountered.

Totally agree, and we've gotta have him for sure, too. I think he was completely silent the entire hearing, so he gave little impression on how he'd rule. I'd like to hope that his authoring of Bostock is indicative of at least seeing us as a class of people.

Heartbreakingly, this seems like the best possible outcome on Skirmetti now.The core GAC ban merits seem lost (mutual aid will be critical), but I'm praying they don't carve us from equal protection under the 14th.This is my only hope with ACB given her seeming surprise at historical discrimination

I feel like these groups (the first 3 you mentioned) will eventually pervert whatever remains of NIH and every scientific and federal medical org with junk 'science' that's effectively manufactured consent to torture trans people.
