I love the "Jack & Jill Fun Bath #2" It has 3 sinks ... and NOTHING else. This place has so many sinks!

I hope so too! I would love a viable alternative to Windows that wasn't Mac. Also, I miss watching your video content. I hope you come back some day... though I guess the issues haven't changed. Maybe it's like Capt. Disillusion says, he keeps debunking stuff but it just keeps making the rounds?

I mean... when I watched my play testers, they would just jump in the air as they ran just because? and they will have to jump to navigate the platforms. Hmm... maybe I'm just okay with this "homogenization" and don't see it as an issue?

But it's not an initial frustration, it's an ongoing annoyance that builds over time, and I don't think it's more work to make.
I'm also not a Mega Man fan, and this is one of the big reasons why. Not being able to shoot diagonally feels totally arbitrary and every time it kills me, it feels cheap.

Just homogenizes things too much. If you limit shooting directions that will naturally incentivize using movement to compensate for the player's limits (getting on the same floor for hori, getting above/below for verticals), whereas with diagonals u need to work x10 harder to incentivize mvmnt

Also, thinking about it, whenever I've made a run & gun, I've never actually thought about incentivizing the player to jump in this way? Like players well jump to avoid shots/enemies, to navigate platforms in the level... maybe it's because I always prefer more platform like run & guns? 🤔

Hey, thanks for the explanation. Though I have to disagree. 1st I think most mechanics have their place if your willing to put the work in. 2nd, not being able to shoot diagonally is supremely frustrating. Specially if your enemies can! Also, I can't see why it would be 10x harder to develop for.
