Not sure what no juries have to do with an authoritarian state. I wouldn’t like to be judged by a bunch of imbeciles hanging flags on lampposts and watching GBNews in their free time.

Same with Brexit. Whatever the UK government will do, Europe wont see Britain as a trusted partner for a very long time.

I don’t think abolishing trial by jury won’t get rid of the backlog of 80.000 cases but I still think it’s a very ancient tradition. Doesn’t mean it is bad but in an age of mediocracy I would prefer a professional to decide over my fate.
