If I lose little things like this as I limit my enabling of the tech bros and their support of the Trump regime then it's a small sacrifice compared to the one's being made by the millions paying the price with their safety and lives due to his/their policies.

I've spent the last 25 years honing my skeptical brain, weeding through online rumours, fake news and outright lies meant to manipulate us. I am by no means perfect and get fooled on occasion but the last 6 months have pushed the limits of my abilities. I'm not prepared for what is to come.

I was standing in line months ago when a man 4 or 5 people in front of me OD'd. The security guard began yelling asking if anyone had naloxone. No one did. He and another security guard did CPR until the ambulance showed up but I never found out if he made it. I carry naloxone with me everywhere now

As a pedestrian who gave up trying to get his license 30 years ago because I'm a lousy driver, I am completely unsurprised by the number being that high. I've watched many drivers far worse and far less caring about everyone else than I.
