I consider “outside agitators” to be a conservative catch phrase. It’s really lefties who are mad as hell and not about to hide it.

As far as I can tell SPD wasn’t challenged by this crowd any more than they are during the MLK Jr. Day March. It wasn’t a protest like during the uprising. I’ll wager the median age was 55 and the participants 99% white libs.

Kettle cites a recent "Blue City Blues" podcast (by my two Seattle Nice cohosts) where they talked to people at 12th and Jackson with Andrew Constantino, a REACH worker who's allied himself with anti-housing first groups, and concluded that up to 60% of them aren't from Seattle.

If I had been on that podcast (with which I'm not affiliated in any way), I would certainly have pushed back on the agenda of their guest expert and on their use of a handful of interviews to reach broad conclusions about people who are drug users, or homeless, in Seattle.
