how did i order one (1) box of mandarin orange cups from amazon on Dec 22, and it's still delayed in the network due to "weather?!" 😂

getting sick when you're 37 weeks pregnant is terrifying because what if labour starts?! i don't have the energy/lung capacity to finish this coughing fit, how would i ever push a baby out??

absolutely made the right decision in june when i said we couldn't host christmas.
i still feel guilty, but it's been six weeks of near-constant pain and i've given up hope that anything will relieve it until this baby comes out and i get to experience a different kind of pain!

for every 10 mins of standing and 20 mins of sitting at my desk, i need an hour of lying down to recover. not sure this is sustainable for another 7-8 weeks.

"Dress down day" at school where kids can wear whatever they want. Email says most kids wear comfy clothes instead of uniforms. My kid goes to school in one of her fanciest dresses (pink) and halloween leggings.

Kiddo's Mandarin teacher had them do an activity about things they are thankful for. She brought home her turkey and proudly told me that she's thankful for Mama, friends, herself, and homework.
I guess the words she knows in Mandarin are a bit limited. 🤣

I do think I underestimated the extent to which even a POSSIBLE Kamala victory might bring tangible relief to working parents, how much my brain was subconsciously using that as reassurance, and the comedown is brutal.
