So I visited our church in the beautiful Hertfordshire village of Ashwell right on the edge of our Synod area. Great to meet with my colleague Jim and prepare for our 'Art in Plain Sight' to start there soon. Also good to hear about the life and witness of this and other local congregations.

We should not decide how to pray based on the experiences & feelings we want. Instead, we should do everything possible to behold our God as he is, & prayer will follow. The more clearly we grasp who God is, the more our prayer is shaped & determined accordingly

This weeks film is 'I Swear' based on a true story of John Davidson, diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome. An astonishing film bringing regular tears to my eyes. My main thoughts were the fruit of the Spirit, especially kindness (Gal 5:23-25) the 3 main characters exhibit by the bucket load.
