In a new memoir washing ashore this spring, the Strait of Juan de Fuca chronicles its youth and admits to being not quite as “strait” as everyone thinks.

Havoc (2005) might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen and everyone should go watch it right now.

Finished Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison last night. Writing was superb and it was hard to put the book down. However, it was difficult to read at times due to content. It’s beginning and ending connected wonderfully (but I want more!) Highly recommend if you can stomach child abuse.

Hamamelis’ (witch-hazel) bright colors are a nice treat in the winter season, both for eyes in a dormant garden and bellies of hummingbirds.

Finally finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest via audiobook. Have tried reading it multiple times before. Still spaced out a lot. Not captivated by Kelsey’s writing style. I enjoy dry books like The Orchardist so I had Sometimes a Great Notion on my list but now I’m unsure I want to attempt it.
