A melancholic blend of urban gay history, supernatural horror and memoir (autofictional horror?), this @daviddemchuk.com novel was a very good October read. Made me miss the Toronto of my 20s-30s.

This book is over-full with perfect, chaotically beautiful, gossipy sentences about intoxication, sex, love, the gender of sixties America, art, and oblivion.

Fever House and The Devil By Name by Keith Rosson. Manic, Punk rock, demon-apocalypse unleashed by some low-level crooks who stumble onto an evil severed hand. great concept, even better prose and plotting

Winnipeg: we are throwing a Valentine’s Day event Feb 12th to let the Province know they need to fulfill their promise to protect tenants from rent hikes (and do even more - like ensure ALL tenants, no matter their rent or age of their unit, is protected by rent regulation).

Really enjoyed this & Fever House by @keithrosson.bsky.social @stephenking.bsky.social was right when he said ‘exciting, suspenseful, at a flurry-of-punches-pace.’ Also, surprisingly moving.
