This really sounds a lot like Southern Brazil a few months ago. People need to understand that it’s not just about coastal areas: low-lying areas around *any* body of water are at huge risk.

New from @arindube.bsky.social and me: the minimum wage own-wage elasticity repository, an online collection of estimates of employment responses to minimum wage changes.

In contrast to a lot of “sky is falling” scenarios, most studies estimate small negative or positive employment effects.
