I don’t hate capitalism, but the fact that the most immediate and viable community each of us has available is centered around work and the workplace is a tragedy I don’t think our species can even fully grasp yet.

I've been thinking about visual programming for a long time now, specially trying to understand why they consistently fail to gain adoption. I think I hit on a good hypothesis.

I just can't wrap my head around how a project (Blender) that generates so much value to everyone gets so little in return.

Blender is such a fascinating software/org/community to me. It seems like one of the most well managed orgs out there, and they're so small. But they're also so (money) poor.
