I mean, are you really a writer if you don't make your own paper?
I draft in pen AND I once made ink from berries* and am planning to try making paper** (not to write on it, just to see if I can)
*Now I know that I NEED to mention the smell of vinegar of the process bothering my characters in that scene
** I don't have a paper making charactery yet but who knows
