Alloterra has a rivalry between a tyrannosaur and a stegosaur, however the roles have been reversed. Pumpkings are giant alioramine tyrannosaurs who've adopted a herbivorous diet of giant gourds, while Gladius are giant predatory stegosaurs who enjoy the taste of pumpking meat.

While Faro Island is mostly based on Skull Island(especially the 2005 version), it also takes some inspiration from both pellucidar and disneys dinosaur, many creatures being based from one of those rather than any king kong adaptation
