It’s main food source are the migratory whales and Polycotylids that especially come in the summer where the fish migrate to the South Pole to feed on the bounty of nutrients and prey, which is why the Lere has a spotted back to resemble a shining school of fish to fool prey.

HE shepherd fish or Great Black, largest fish of the HE, in ecosystems of plenty they often find a pod and follow them around, but in not so plenty environments they are expert hunters known to strike fear into pods of Jau and make even the biggest of bull whales wary of them.
