"Fucked knee." Ed shrugs. "The brace helps, but 1 still can't go far. And 1 haven't ridden a horse since... Well, since 1 had an accident. A long time ago. Besides, not enough room here to keep one near the cottage Ed has told Stede about his past. Stede seems to think that being a bandit sounds exciting and adventurous, Ed doesn't have the heart to tell him about the harsh realities of that world. Besides, he's left that all behind him. It's not like Stede's going to have the chance to get caught up in any of that now. "Do you ever wish you could explore other places here in Shetland?" "An occasional change of scenery might be nice,'' Ed replies. "But it's a moot point, not like I can do anything about it." "Hmmm." Stede gets a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Ed, do you want to do something weird?" Ed was falling a little bit in love and a little bit in lust with Stede. The man was sweet endearing, and incredibly attractive. But on the odd occasion Ed had imagined what it would be like to ride Stede, this was not the sort of riding he'd envisioned
