Span this whilst sorting out records last night and had to stop and just take it in. An absolute masterpiece, and one of the rarest of my UK 45s - shoulda been huge! m.youtube.com/watch?v=k_oY...

In case you didn’t know- Bud Tutmarc’s dad invented the electric bass guitar, in 1936. Waaaaay ahead of his time

Just unearthed a *fourth* copy of LA Light Album by The Beach Boys. Anyone want a copy for postage? It’s written off, especially by Beach Boys nerds, but it’s their last attempt to be a credible, modern band. Worth having just for the Dennis tracks, but Carl, Al and even Mike bring some smooth magic

After months of *everywhere* being covered with piles of records I’m starting to get them in some sort of order. Confused myself by starting with the Beach Boys, but inserting related records (Flame, American Spring) into the chronology, which got extremely confusing when I got to Byrds and related

A guy on instagram has decided to eat a perpetual stew, and 188 days after thinking it tasted a bit off, he’s not given up.

1964 Vox Apache, it appeared in the catalogue but they only made one small batch, barely any made it into shops

Love this series of Beach Boys 45 reissues, such a fantastically appalling and inappropriate cover for ‘Friends/Little Bird’

This ferocious beast just demanded a Scampi Fry, licked it, then left it on the floor.

The undergrowth has been cut back, revealing dozens of orange balls from the nearby school. Nature’s pumpkin patch

I feel compelled to step in every time someone posts some ancient 78s on a normie record collecting fb page and gets a bunch of laugh reactions and bin emojis. Today’s ‘look you idiots’ examples. Laurel and Hardy, hammered classical, Al Bowlly, Lili Palmer?

Surprised to pick this up for cheap, it’s a total banger, has been comped, and it was only the second time it’s sold on ’scogs

The search engine algorithm I am most frequently ‘not angry just disappointed‘ in, is Discogs‘. Why is the exact thing I searched for in quotes under Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours? This is an inherently nerdy site.

DJ night idea: gutwrenchers only, low lights, whiskey, zero eye contact

Flogging some spares, anyone here fancy some Pretty Things records before I bung em on discogs? Both better than average copies - tenner for midnight to six, fifteen for the ep? (half what I paid in 2001)!
