The CFPB finalized a rule that would ban medical debt from appearing on credit reports.

The change will help an estimated 15 million people. Accessing medical care, which we know is too costly in America, shouldn't ruin your credit.

This is government working for the people.
CFPB finalizes rule to remove estimated $49 billion in medical debt from credit reports
Medical debt comprises the largest category of unpaid balances in collections. The CFPB wants to help ensure that doesn't ruin Americans' finances.

The cause for rising sea levels is clear: greenhouse gases, overwhelmingly generated by burning fossil fuels, are cooking our planet, leading to ocean warming and the melting of glaciers and ice sheets.

Happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere.

The turn of the year's tide, a pivot-point, a day of hope—when the dark stops rising & after which the Sun begins its slow climb back.
A day I celebrate more than Christmas or New Year.

Fiat lux!

The challenge facing Democrats is deeper than simply finding the right words and phrases.

To win back the heart and soul of America, Democrats must retell the four basic stories that have defined and animated the United States since its founding.
America’s four stories (Part 1)
Trump has offered extreme versions. The Democrats stopped offering them at all.

Scientists, academics, researchers: We’re excited to share that @altmetric.com is now tracking mentions of your research on Bluesky! 🧪
There are already many articles for which there is more attention on Bluesky than on other comparable micro-blogging sites, meaning the academic community and the general public have clearly adopted Bluesky as one of its core places to disseminate and discuss new research.
