The other day I paid a visit to the “Robotron – Code und Utopie” exhibition at the GfZK in Leipzig. It’s really a great show about technology, industry, politics, socialism, capitalism, and art. If you can, check it out (until February)

Last Thursday, at the @proqm.bsky.social bookshop, I attended Daniel Ross’s presentation of his translation of Bernard Stiegler’s The Immense Regression – What is Called Caring? Vol. 1 (K. Verlag). It was a wonderful presentation of a book that seems to be a pharmakon itself

I finally got a hard copy of this rare report – the state of telegraphy (and telex networks) in Chile by 1970. A key document to understand infrastructural undertakings that unfolded right after that

A tiny but perhaps hopeful break from all this war sh*t. Last weekend at the Miss Read festival in Berlin, I found a true gem: E. E. Kisch's /Karl Marx in Karlsbad/, published by the Finnish Rab-Rab Press. Let’s seek hope

This is Stafford Beer’s Cybernetic Model of Contemporary Capitalism (1973) – my redrawing of it.

If you want to learn more about it, I invite you to read chapter five of my dissertation, where I explain and discuss the model in detail:

Here I’m thinking in particular of the economic simulator that #Beer simply called #Futuro, but that the rest of the team called CHECO. Below is a picture of one of the first Futuro simulations run in Chile (from September 1972)

If you’re into AI stuff, you really want to read this. It's just extraordinary.

Beyond the subtitle, as I think I heard Pasquinelli say here in Berlin, it’s an epistemological history of labor, algorithms, automation, and AI – which, as he shows, are deeply interlinked

I stumbled on this one in my local bookshop. Although I was able to check the contents only briefly, I can confirm that it has a lot of beautiful documentation. Unfortunately, it’s too expensive to buy now (50€), but I hope to get it soon

After all the bigotry and reactionary comments that some of the pro-Palestinian, anti-war, anti-genocide & anti-apartheid speeches at the #Berlinale triggered among so-called “centrists” and conservatives here in Germany, just this accurate reflection by Dr. Hage

I read this over the holidays. Although it’s fiction, it’s a must for anyone interested in the history and philosophy of technology. I read the Spanish version (Anagrama), but you can check out the original English version from McClelland & Stewart: The MANIAC by Benjamin Labatut

Once again, how important it is to go back to this small but great paragraph. The status quo of the West demands it
