Video game focused shitposting and terrible opinions. Sometimes other topics like technology, television, and movies.
Beyond that, I think that AAA developers and publishers have been given a blank check in regard to game file sizes. Sometimes a 20GB has better graphics than one that’s taking up 70+GB. It makes no sense. I think it’s just poor file management, but I can’t say for certain.

Personally, I primarily consume my games digitally because it’s easier, but it’s nice to have the CHOICE. Cyberpunk 2077 is available physically, no Game-Key Card BS so I chose that option to keep space free since the game is over 60GB.

While the Game-Key Cards which prompt a full game download, seem pretty innocuous, it quickly becomes a problem when AAA titles like Hitman check in over 50GB. Perhaps a more dire example is the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake which is expected to be over 90GB with only a Game-Key once again.

It wouldn’t be so bad thing if memory was affordable on consoles. As it stands, licensed memory runs around $100/1TB (more on Switch 2 ATM.)

The Switch 2 itself checks in at a measly 256GB. Making matters worse, many games require a full download because the game isn’t on the cartridge.
