I don't think people get what this is saying. There is no way on Earth you can direct connect a FIBER line directly to a copper line. Yes, you can connect into converters, routers, and other gear. This is not a "direct" connection! /rantoff

I saw this on Twitter/X. The image is here of "Trey" Reed who was found dead yesterday at Delta State University. The second image shows a search result -- where the second result matches the mobile browser.

People need to take care when looking at information online.

I guess no crime, then? I have 20 yrs service in the Guard (multiple tours over seas) and no this is not normal. Guard members have their own jobs and families. Also, D.C. (or any area) would have their own personnel to do this kind of work.

[ #ai ] Sounds about right -- AI might have it's places but seems these students want the "easy" road.

@adafruit.com's tariff bill. Seem people are crazy saying "should have made in America" and all that other stuff on #twitter. That's not how this works ... sigh.

ADAFruit is a great resource for makers!

#tarriffs

As pointed out by @dieworkwear.bsky.social , "crazy how disruptive this is. this company is canadian, but produces things in china. so even if you purchase from french, canadian, english, japanese, or whatever company, you will face a big tariff if the item was made in china." #twitter

I am sorry what.... On the day that literally honors #starwars and American culture, we get this. I have no words. I stand with @markhamillofficial.bsky.social . #maythe4 #jedi

Triple cluster #proxmox lab with max out RAM on the nodes. Using mini-pcs, so I can go like 100G+ on RAM per node. =\

If you look up on Amazon, you see more normal prices (for now) for coffee. If Tim Horton's office would only be ~$19/lb (after tariffs) from our Canadian friends. It's not bad coffee either.
April 5, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Okay, so instead of the $10 - $20 cost per lb of coffee (depending on brand), people want to spend $176 coffee? Let's see about #coffee prices.

I'm sorry what? Schools have been requiring kids to turn off phones during class so they can learn. Stating to "ban" phones, means that students cannot reach parents/guardians for other reasons outside of the class room (like after school programs). #deptofed #school

[#ushistory] Here's another fun look into crazy statements. My guess referring to Treaty of 1818 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_...), which uses the 49th parallel as the border before CAN and US.

When I worked a gov't civ, I had a "active" CC incase I had to deploy for the military anywhere in short notice. This seems to stop that but make then unusable (setting to $1) then saying "these are not used" -- because you can't -- then canceling them.

Yup, this is fun ... lmao. #phonetech
