And of course thanks to @amosroddy.bsky.social - your spacey soundtrack set the perfect mood and has been floating through my head ever since finishing the game 🎵🚀✨

I always feel proud of Starbucks locations which unionize and leverage strikes, but I feel sheepish because there's no way I'd ever be buying the coffee when they're not striking for all the other reasons to avoid Starbucks 😅

I've been around the block and know what I support and why.

At least it looks like we agree on ending qualified immunity.

He is representing many of us very well. There's significant diversity in this district.

I'm in your district and proud of your vote. The sweeps, the way they focus on removal before resources, are a performative waste of money.

People who claim they are compassionately run to help people first are either kidding themselves or ignorant of the realities on the ground.

I'm in D4 and worked with someone the other week to help them recover their dog and belongings after a destructive encampment eviction.

From what I've seen, these cleanups are not meeting expectations of dignity. People are being shuffled around, harassed, and given new problems rather than helped.

I'm starting to be persuaded that Schumer tried and failed to convince them to hold the line instead of helping arrange it. Still inexcusable when the stakes are this high, so I'm sticking with it: it's past time for a change.

Tens of thousands of Americans are projected to die due to the loss of the subsidies. Millions more will suffer the consequences of being underinsured.

The explicit point of the shutdown was to fight for those people with the only shred of leverage the Democrats had.

What a waste.

Please move to remove Schumer immediately as minority leader. He definitely helped facilitate this, and even if he didn't, his lack of leadership earlier in the year enabled it.

You asked a question on the Internet that has an answer.

What I do know is that I spent a lot of time with someone who has been set back over and over by sweeps and harassment just the other week, and whatever is being done right now is falling short of treating everybody with dignity.

Finland does exactly that, it is pretty successful.

On homelessness, pretty much 💔

It feels like Portland is trapped in an endless, frenetic cycle of half-assing systemic fixes and swinging back to sweeps and criminalization.

I remember when she got first elected; I was working at an environmental org in the four corners area. Enthusiasm for her was so high.

What a disappointment.

Absolutely, the true believers feel impunity thanks to the corrupt pardon power.

But they're all cowards, too. They're afraid of Trump viciously going after them if they don't stay in line - and increasingly of consequences if he doesn't stay in power.

I've watched it enough to know: She'll blame democrats, categorically, for anything bad. Always.
