The entire pundit class has convinced people for so long that their “analysis” was somehow necessary and valuable when in reality it was just a con game to manufacture consent for bias-confirming “strategies” that only benefited the capitalist class and guaranteed pundits career security.

"judge dismissed charges" is misleading. It was Attorney General Nessel's office that moved for dismissal.

The context is that defense lawyers had moved (and made a strong argument) to have the AG's office removed from the case. The judge was to have ruled on the defense motion this morning.

This approach also enables folks without a bank account (or folks who struggle with online activity) a low-entry way to provide support. Folks who depend on assistance from others almost always want to offer assistance as well.
